FireStarter Hires Longtime Transplant Administrator

Carmel, Ind. – FireStarter, LLC, a Carmel-based marketing firm helping organizations better fulfill their missions, has hired Betty Crandall, MS, RN, to consult on innovative and creative solutions for clients in the field of organ donation and transplantation. A clinician and transplant administrator, Crandall has 30 years of experience serving local, regional and national companies, organizations and transplant programs.

In addition to advising FireStarter on organ transplantation, Crandall currently helps the Alliance for Paired Kidney Donation, one of the longest-serving kidney matching organizations in the world, foster and build relationships with transplant centers across the country. Prior to her work with the APKD, she served three of the nation’s transplant programs: The Johns Hopkins Comprehensive Transplant Center in Baltimore; Sentara Transplant Center in Norfolk, Virginia; and most recently, Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Crandall has assisted other transplant programs throughout the country as an independent consultant or as a member of a peer-review committee. Additionally, she has served on numerous committees for the United Network for Organ Sharing and the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network.

Crandall is excited to collaborate with the team at FireStarter to advise its clients in the organ donation and transplantation industry. “I’m looking forward to the opportunity to help present creative solutions to the transplant community, a community I will forever be inspired to serve,” said Crandall.
